Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Filho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Sandler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Filho! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adam Sandler! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Edson Gomes and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Filho throws a head kick but Sandler moves out of range.
Filho punishes Sandler's body with a nice straight punch. Nice takedown defense from Filho. No joy for Sandler on that attempt. Filho throws a head kick that misses. Sandler shoots for a takedown but Filho saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Filho is looking to clinch. Filho changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sandler looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Sandler tries to bench press Filho off him but Filho keeps the position. Sandler gets back to half guard. Filho looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Sandler misses with some strikes from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Filho is working for a submission of some sort.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sandler is looking for a sweep. Filho is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Sandler actively working from the bottom here. Filho seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sandler does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Sandler swats away the attempt to clinch by Filho. Filho tries to clinch there but Sandler circles away.
Filho looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Sandler! Sandler is desperately trying to improve his position but Filho has a good base and remains in mount. Filho seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Sandler is holding on tight.
Sandler is looking to get to half guard. Sandler looks gassed! Filho has control of Sandler's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sandler regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sandler tries to lock up and control but Filho gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sandler manages to regain half guard. Good work. Filho sitting and controlling from the half guard. Sandler is looking to control Filho's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sandler avoid being mounted? Filho is working for an americana but Sandler has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Filho was thinking about the submission. Sandler keeping moving, preventing Filho from controlling successfully. Sandler is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sandler looking for a sweep. Not yet Sandler, not yet. Sandler keeping moving, preventing Filho from controlling successfully. Filho has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Sandler is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Sandler has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Filho doesn't defend quickly enough and Sandler has managed to lock this one up! Can Filho escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Sandler on a fantastic submission victory.
