Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carter Pewterschmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tito Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pewterschmidt comes to the cage accompanied by 7 Words. Ortiz has chosen Break Stuff as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carter Pewterschmidt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tito Ortiz! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ortiz. Pewterschmidt missing with a left hand there. Ortiz was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Ortiz fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Pewterschmidt's corner calls for a 1-2. Pewterschmidt obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Pewterschmidt throws a leg kick but Ortiz sees it coming and moves out of range. A punch combination from Ortiz misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pewterschmidt tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ortiz was well out of range. Poor timing from Pewterschmidt. Pewterschmidt throws a hook but Ortiz avoids it easily. Pewterschmidt misses the shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pewterschmidt tries for a takedown but Ortiz circles away easily and Ortiz counters with a two punch combo. Pewterschmidt throws a hook but Ortiz avoids it easily. Pewterschmidt misses with a takedown attempt and Ortiz counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pewterschmidt's guard now. Ortiz lands a couple of decent looking shots. Pewterschmidt is pulling down on Ortiz's head. It's preventing any offense from Ortiz, at least for the moment. Pewterschmidt utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Pewterschmidt wants to sweep here but Ortiz controlling him for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ortiz in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pewterschmidt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ortiz is one step ahead there. Ortiz chips away with some ground and pound. Ortiz stopping the sweep attempt from Pewterschmidt. Ortiz throws a strike but Pewterschmidt rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Ortiz preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pewterschmidt postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ortiz is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Pewterschmidt, into his guard. Ortiz tries to free his leg and advance position but Pewterschmidt is retaining full guard. Pewterschmidt has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Ortiz has passed into side control.
Pewterschmidt manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Pewterschmidt is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Ortiz!

Ortiz bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Ortiz stopping the sweep attempt from Pewterschmidt. Ortiz distracts Pewterschmidt with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Pewterschmidt is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ortiz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Pewterschmidt wants to sweep here but Ortiz controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tito Ortiz dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Ortiz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Pewterschmidt counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Tito Ortiz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ortiz shoots and misses and Pewterschmidt makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Pewterschmidt throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pewterschmidt changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Ortiz takes one to the side of the head.
Ortiz has his takedown stuffed and Pewterschmidt counters with a left to the body. Carter Pewterschmidt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tito Ortiz. Pewterschmidt wants to slow Ortiz down by chopping away at his legs. Ortiz is breathing heavily.

Ortiz looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Pewterschmidt drops an elbow to the side of Ortiz's head. Pewterschmidt throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ortiz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Pewterschmidt seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ortiz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Pewterschmidt landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Pewterschmidt is just content to waste time from the top position. Ortiz takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pewterschmidt passes Ortiz's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Pewterschmidt drops an elbow to the side of Ortiz's head. Pewterschmidt working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Ortiz's thigh. Ortiz counters though and makes it back to full guard. Pewterschmidt throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Ortiz is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pewterschmidt is controlling him. Pewterschmidt pushing down on Ortiz's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Pewterschmidt takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Ortiz taking some punishment here, with Pewterschmidt in his half guard. Pewterschmidt is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ortiz sees it coming and defends easily. Pewterschmidt is trying to control the action in half guard but Ortiz is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Pewterschmidt works his foot free and advances to mount. Pewterschmidt lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carter Pewterschmidt dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Pewterschmidt fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Ortiz checks it well. Pewterschmidt throws a jab when Ortiz was well out of range. Ortiz throws a shot from downtown. Pewterschmidt moves away and avoids it. Pewterschmidt is looking to wear down Ortiz with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Pewterschmidt tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ortiz was well out of range. Poor timing from Pewterschmidt. Pewterschmidt lands a nice looking body shot.

and Ortiz counters with a takedown into side control. Ortiz is trying to ground and pound but Pewterschmidt uses the momentary lack of control by Ortiz to regain half guard. Ortiz working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Pewterschmidt looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Ortiz postures up in Pewterschmidt's guard and throws a big left but Pewterschmidt blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pewterschmidt has his hands on Ortiz's head, controlling the position. Ortiz throwing strikes from guard but Pewterschmidt blocks nicely. Pewterschmidt is looking for a triangle here but Ortiz uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pewterschmidt is trying to control Ortiz's posture but Ortiz avoids it. Pewterschmidt is looking for a sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ortiz lands a few punches from side control. Pewterschmidt avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Ortiz. Ortiz misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Pewterschmidt regains full guard. Nicely done. Ortiz works over Pewterschmidt with some ground and pound from guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Pewterschmidt holds on and takes a little breather. Ortiz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Pewterschmidt looking to control.
Pewterschmidt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Pewterschmidt manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Ortiz uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pewterschmidt. Pewterschmidt shoots and misses so Ortiz counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Pewterschmidt working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ortiz. Ortiz throws a strike but Pewterschmidt rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Ortiz is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Tito Ortiz has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pewterschmidt with a flurry of punches that miss. Pewterschmidt working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Pewterschmidt throws a big right hand that misses. Ortiz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Pewterschmidt manages to get to full guard.
Ortiz is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted. Ortiz pushes down on Pewterschmidt's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ortiz sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Pewterschmidt defending well though. Pewterschmidt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ortiz is working away from the top position though. Pewterschmidt tries to roll over but Ortiz keeps him under control. Pewterschmidt is trying to control but can't.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Pewterschmidt throws a predictable looking body shot
and Ortiz counters with a nice double leg into guard. Pewterschmidt looking for a sweep. Not yet Pewterschmidt, not yet. Ortiz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Pewterschmidt is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Pewterschmidt wants to sweep but no luck. Ortiz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Ortiz postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
