Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rip James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alejandro Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes to the cage accompanied by What's the difference. The key to victory for Rip James has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rip James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alejandro Johnson! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Johnson on the side of the head. Johnson shoots for a takedown but James saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. James fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Johnson misses with a jab, cross combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from James is defended easily by Johnson. A jab from James misses. James closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Johnson did well to prevent James getting side control. Johnson wants to improve his position but James is controlling well.
James is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Johnson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time James. Johnson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. James is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Johnson looking for submissions off his back. James moves nicely into side control. James tries to move to mount but Johnson blocks the move with his legs. James throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. James tries for a kimura but Johnson is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The ground and pound from James seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Johnson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but James wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Johnson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on James's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Johnson tries to get to full guard but James has control of the leg. James is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Johnson is just riding it out for now. James eventually gives up the hold. Johnson wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Johnson flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
James is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Johnson sees it coming and defends easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. James thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson wants to get back to full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Some wild striking there from Johnson.
Johnson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by James. Johnson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Rip James has been cut. Johnson has his takedown stuffed and James counters with a nice uppercut. Johnson falls off balance throwing a combination
letting James counter with a right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. James scores with a nice right hand.
Johnson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Johnson has his takedown stuffed and James counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by James. Rip James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alejandro Johnson. James keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Johnson's head. Johnson throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet. Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but James can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Johnson looks gassed! Johnson looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rip James dominated that round. The cut man is working on Rip James's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Johnson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. James steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Johnson. A telegraphed right hand from Johnson misses the target. Johnson misses with a takedown attempt and James counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Johnson's guard now. James is looking to work some ground and pound but Johnson has wrist control. James drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and James jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. James working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. James drops back looking for a leg! Johnson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Johnson manages to kick James off! James jumps back into Johnson's guard. James postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Johnson wants to sweep here but James controlling him for the moment. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's one minute gone in the round. James sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Johnson's guard. James looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. James passes the guard and advances to mount! Johnson is working to get back to half guard.
Johnson is bucking up trying to escape but James cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Johnson tries to lock up and control but James gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. BOOM! James connects with a massive shot to the dome!
James has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Johnson is breathing heavily. James lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round. James wants to finish this one by submission but Johnson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from James. The referee warns Johnson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Johnson is rocked! Johnson in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Johnson is still in real trouble! Can James finish him?
That's three minutes gone in the round. James softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Johnson is out cold! James jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rip James!
