Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matoi Tsunetsuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and London Oswalt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oswalt has chosen Country Boy can Survive as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matoi Tsunetsuki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, London Oswalt!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Dean Styles and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oswalt gets the takedown into side control.
Oswalt controls the position.

Tsunetsuki tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Oswalt presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Oswalt can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tsunetsuki is looking to escape.

Oswalt moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Tsunetsuki has worked his arm free - good work by Tsunetsuki!

Oswalt connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Tsunetsuki some visible discomfort.

Tsunetsuki tries to bench press Oswalt off him but Oswalt keeps the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Oswalt decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tsunetsuki to his feet.

Tsunetsuki shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Oswalt counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Oswalt lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Oswalt.

Oswalt with a lazy takedown attempt

and Tsunetsuki decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Oswalt's guard.
Tsunetsuki wants to pass the guard but Oswalt is keeping the position.

Oswalt is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Oswalt misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

London Oswalt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Oswalt takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

London Oswalt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Oswalt has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
