Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gunnar Hansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
16 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nanak Singh!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Singh throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hansen moves in looking to clinch but Singh pushes him off.
Hansen scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Hansen throws a right hand that Singh ducks under and follows up with a left that Singh also avoids with ease.
Some bone on bone action there as Hansen checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Hansen throws a leg kick that is checked
and Singh counters with a thumping low kick.
Singh ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hansen misses with an uppercut. Singh saw that one coming.
Singh looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
No joy there for Hansen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hansen throws a leg kick
and Singh counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hansen is lucky that one didn't land flush.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hansen misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Singh counters with a good, hard body kick but Hansen shrugs it off.
Singh uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hansen.
Hansen misses with a series of wild punches.
Singh feints and then cracks Hansen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hansen down.
Hansen is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Singh connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Hansen blocks a head kick by Singh.
Singh sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Hansen to the ground! Singh dives into full mount looking to finish!
Hansen is rocked!
It looks like Gunnar Hansen has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hansen has given up his back here. Will Singh look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Oh Hansen is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Singh is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Hansen with him. Hansen is trying to defend but Singh has an arm under the chin now! Hansen grimaces and is forced to tap out!
