Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, The Ninja! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Donal McGuire! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ninja misses with a few strikes there.
Ninja looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! McGuire changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ninja tries to avoid it but McGuire manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ninja to the ground. Ninja escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. McGuire fails with a takedown attempt. Ninja cracks McGuire with an open hand slap. McGuire shoots for a double leg takedown but Ninja sprawls well. He's pushed McGuire's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. The Ninja has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donal McGuire. Nice takedown defense from Ninja. No joy for McGuire on that attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A combination from Ninja does no damage. McGuire tries for a takedown but Ninja sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. McGuire shoots in looking for a takedown. Ninja tries to sprawl out of it but McGuire keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ninja manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGuire shoots for a double leg takedown but Ninja sprawls well. He's pushed McGuire's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. McGuire shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ninja as he avoids it easily. Ninja keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. McGuire shoots in for a takedown but Ninja shows good takedown defense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. McGuire shoots in for a double leg but Ninja sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Ninja stuffs the takedown. The Ninja is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McGuire moves out of range of the body kick. Ninja stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ninja wants it to stay on the feet. Ninja misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McGuire dives in and grabs Ninja's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ninja pushes down on McGuire's head and hops out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ninja comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Ninja throws a right and a left that both miss. McGuire is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ninja sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. McGuire shoots in but Ninja avoids the takedown attempt easily. McGuire looks for a takedown but Ninja sprawls well. Nice shot lands for Ninja.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. A combination from Ninja does no damage. McGuire closes the distance and clinches up with Ninja, looking for a takedown. McGuire pushes Ninja against the cage but Ninja circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. McGuire misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Ninja stuffs the takedown. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ninja lands with a nice combination. McGuire backs away looking to recover. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ninja cracks McGuire with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Ninja scores with a punch to the head. McGuire misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. The Ninja is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. McGuire shoots for a takedown but Ninja saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Ninja throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

McGuire shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ninja defends it nicely. Ninja stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ninja wants it to stay on the feet.

Danga de danga de dang - Ninja scores with a four punch combination! Ninja gets caught flat footed, as McGuire shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Ninja on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ninja tries to get out of the position. McGuire drops back looking for a leg! Ninja is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ninja manages to kick McGuire off! McGuire jumps back into Ninja's guard. McGuire drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McGuire jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. McGuire drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ninja manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now McGuire has Ninja in his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ninja wants to stand but McGuire has a closed guard, so he can't escape. McGuire has his feet on Ninja's thighs here. He's pushed Ninja off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Ninja screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
