PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nazad Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brennan Bradshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nazad Ali could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Brennan Bradshaw's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nazad Ali!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brennan Bradshaw!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bradshaw circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bradshaw avoids the head kick by Ali.
Nazad Ali seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ali fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ali is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ali moves in looking to clinch but Bradshaw pushes him off.
Ali shoots for a double leg takedown but Bradshaw sprawls well. He's pushed Ali's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ali really is a fat lump.
Bradshaw does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Ali tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bradshaw shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Bradshaw slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Bradshaw has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ali is proving hard to escape from.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ali shoots in looking for a takedown. Bradshaw tries to sprawl out of it but Ali keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bradshaw manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ali fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bradshaw avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nazad Ali. That's going to take a lot out of him.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Bradshaw stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ali swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Bradshaw gets caught flat footed, as Ali shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brennan Bradshaw dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Bradshaw lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

You can see the frustration on Ali's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ali wants to get back to his feet but Bradshaw drags him back down.

Bradshaw decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Bradshaw throws the kick towards the body but Ali avoids it.
Bradshaw throws a right and a left that Ali avoids nicely.

and Bradshaw decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ali's guard.

Brennan Bradshaw showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Ali has an active guard here but Bradshaw has managed to pass into half guard.
Ali wants to control the action here but instead Bradshaw manages to pass to full mount!
Bradshaw tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Bradshaw takes Ali's back, avoiding a couple of desperation strikes from the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Despite being in the dominant position, Brennan Bradshaw just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bradshaw tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ali swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Brennan Bradshaw comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bradshaw has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
