The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ortega missing with a left hand there. Desperado was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Ortega pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Ortega tries to clinch but Desperado moves out of range. Desperado swinging wildly here.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ortega. Ortega fails with the takedown. Desperado connects with the punch. A punch combination from Ortega misses. Desperado displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ortega throws out the jab. Tito Ortega seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Desperado will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ortega shoots in for a takedown but Desperado shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tito Ortega. That's going to take a lot out of him. A telegraphed right hand from Ortega misses the target. Desperado lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Desperado cracks Ortega with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ortega looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Desperado finish him?

It looks like Tito Ortega has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Desperado digs a good body shot into Ortega's ribs. Ortega is breathing heavily. Desperado scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Desperado scores with a body shot.
A combination from Desperado does no damage. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Ortega. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Desperado fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Desperado throws a right and a left that Ortega avoids nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ortega misses with a combination
and Desperado counters with a crisp one two that drops Ortega! Desperado thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Ortega to his feet! Ortega is in big trouble! Oh Ortega is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Desperado fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Ortega out cold! Brutal finish!
