The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortega missing with a left hand there. Desperado was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ortega pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ortega tries to clinch but Desperado moves out of range.

Desperado displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ortega throws out the jab.
Tito Ortega seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Desperado will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ortega shoots in for a takedown but Desperado shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
