Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jay Reddman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Hitman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reddman's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Empire State of Mind. Hitman has chosen Recovery - Eminem as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hitman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Reddman. Ken Hitman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hitman walks into a jab. Hitman clinches with his opponent.
Reddman blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Hitman changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Reddman fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Hitman gets a clinch. Reddman blocking some punches.
Hitman throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Reddmans head. A head punch on the inside from Hitman fails to land. Hitman slowing the pace effectively. Hitman receives a warning from the referee for stalling. Reddman is trying to break the clinch but Hitman is controlling him. Reddman is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Hitman tries for a takedown. No joy.

Jay Reddman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Hitman. Hitman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hitman takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Hitman shoots for a takedown but Reddman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Reddman slips a jab and a cross from Hitman.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hitman is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Reddman's half guard. Hitman looks gassed! Hitman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Hitman looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hitman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Reddman is trying to stand up here but Hitman is controlling him well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hitman is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Reddman sees it coming and defends easily. Hitman wants to advance to full mount but Reddman doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hitman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nice uppercut there from Reddman. Reddman scores with a takedown into Hitman's guard. Reddman sitting in guard, not really doing much. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reddman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hitman on the ground. Reddman trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hitman's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reddman trying to control but Hitman is working from the bottom. Hitman throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Reddman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hitman is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Reddman pushes Hitman up against the cage in a clinch. Reddman tries for a takedown. No joy.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Reddman drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hitman pulls his leg out and moves away.
Hitman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Reddman to the mat! Reddman manages to get full guard. Reddman is adopting a defensive guard. Reddman keeping full guard, as Hitman tries to pass. Hitman is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Reddman is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Reddman has escaped and now he's on top! Reddman wants to stand but Hitman has a closed guard, so he can't escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ken Hitman will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Reddman lands a slapping body shot.
Reddman throws out a powerful jab. Reddman stuns Hitman with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Hitman throws a nice looking combination but Reddman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Left hook, right uppercut from Reddman. Reddman circles away from the clinch attempt.
A jab from Hitman misses. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Reddman connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Reddman lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Hitman gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Reddman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hitman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Reddman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hitman is breathing heavily. Hitman looking for a guillotine here but Reddman defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reddman controls from within his opponent's guard. Reddman wants to stand but Hitman has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Hitman is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Reddman is aware though and is defending well. Reddman controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Reddman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hitman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Reddman has managed to get both his arms back between Hitman's legs - danger averted.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hitman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Reddman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Reddman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Reddman preventing the sweep.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Reddman works the jab nicely. Hitman gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hitman takes a shot to the head. Reddman looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Reddman blocks an elbow strike. Hitman has a couple of punches blocked by Reddman.
Hitman is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Reddman's face as he tries to break the clinch. Reddman tries to circle away but Hitman has him pinned against the cage. Reddman has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Reddman creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Reddman breaks from the clinch.
Reddman ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. A jab from Hitman misses. Reddman scores with a nice head shot. Hitman takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Reddman is looking to break free of the clinch but Hitman has double underhooks. Reddman lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Hitman tries to circle away but Reddman has him pinned against the cage. Hitman tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Reddman just stands there and leans against the cage. Reddman wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Reddman wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hitman has him pressed against the cage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Reddman. Reddman taking a breather. Hitman is working for takedown but Reddman is calmly controlling the position for now.

Reddman tries to score a body lock takedown but Hitman shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Reddman has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. The fight stays on the outside here - Hitman looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hitman with a poor takedown enabling Reddman to counter with a crisp jab. A shot to de liver by Reddman. Beautiful body shot. Reddman lands an overhand right. Reddman drives through with a takedown into guard. Hitman thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Hitman looking for a guillotine here but Reddman defends easily.
Reddman gets to his feet - Hitman follows without any prompting. Reddman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Reddman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Hitman swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reddman sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Hitman can't escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Reddman controlling from mount. Hitman is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hitman is trying desperately to improve position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Reddman is figuring out what he wants to do next. And that's the end of the fight! Jay Reddman showed his dominance in that final round. Well Reddman has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
