The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filmer shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Barbossa looks like he's trying to stand up.
Filmer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Filmer uses his free foot to push down on Barbossa's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Barbossa.
Barbossa wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Filmer.
Filmer unloads with some shots from mount but Barbossa bucks and avoids them well.

Filmer sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Barbossa takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Barbossa tries to reverse the position but Filmer maintains control.
Filmer fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Filmer avoids the attempt from Barbossa to control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Filmer lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Barbossa is bucking up trying to escape but Filmer cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Filmer trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Filmer loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Barbossa scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Filmer land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Filmer stands and salutes the crowd.
