The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manto fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vanao avoids it really well and circles away.
Vanao darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Vanao clobbers Manto with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Vanao gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Manto drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Vanao gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Vanao's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Manto drives through with a takedown into guard.
Vanao wants to stand and escape but Manto is having none of it.
Vanao throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Vanao trying to keep a closed guard but Manto is proving a slippery customer.
Manto is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Manto prevents Vanao from getting back to his feet.
Manto makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Vanao seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Vanao looking to control but Manto passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Vanao trying to hold on to Manto's head to control him but Manto postures up.
Manto works his way into full mount!
Vanao is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Vanao tries to control the position but Manto now has his back.
Vanao is trying to defend against the choke here but Manto has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Manto Tightens the hold and Vanao taps out furiously! Manto displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
