Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vadim Leonov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Lachance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leonov's entrance music is Red october. A fine choice. Vadim Leonov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vadim Leonov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Lachance! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leonov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lachance moves away. Lachance closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lachance lands in his opponent's guard. Lachance wants to pass the guard but Leonov is keeping the position. Lachance has gone for a leg lock! Leonov slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lachance's guard. Leonov wants to stand but Lachance is controlling his posture from full guard. Lachance wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lachance controls Leonov momentarily but Leonov frees himself. Leonov wants to get up but he can't break Lachance's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Leonov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. No luck for Lachance with that takedown attempt. Leonov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lachance paws at him with a jab and circles away. Lachance moves out of range as Leonov throws a body kick.
Lachance shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Leonov manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Lachance wants to stand and escape but instead Leonov has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Lachance is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Leonov decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leonov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Lachance avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lachance lands a jab to the head.
Leonov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lachance manages to avoid it. Leonov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lachance was well out of range. Poor timing from Leonov. Lachance darts in and clinches Leonov up against the cage. Lachance gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Lachance is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Lachance wants to pass the guard but Leonov is keeping the position. Lachance advances position into side control! Lachance has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Leonov is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Lachance yanks on the arm and Leonov is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Lachance.
