Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gentle Giant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gynther Gail (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Giant comes to the cage accompanied by Lollipop - Lil' Wayne. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gail pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Gail closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Giant did well to prevent Gail getting side control.
Gail is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Gail's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Gail is looking to advance position but Giant won't allow it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gail might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Giant kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Gail feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Giant thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Giant wants to get back to his feet but Gail is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Gail gets to his feet. Giant looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Gail avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gail cracks Giant with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Giant throws a head kick but Gail moves out of range.
Gail throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Giant on the side of the head.
Gail shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Giant will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters circle momentarily. Gail darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Gail fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Giant on the side of the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Giant moves in looking to clinch but Gail pushes him off.

Gail shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Giant's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Giant gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gail to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Giant bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gail's head.

Giant is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Gail asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Let's hope that Gail has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well Gail has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
