Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Casey Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Voodoo King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rock comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the Tiger. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Rock looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Rock shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has King pinned against the cage. King gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. King throws an overhand right that lands on Rock's shoulder, as Rock tries to avoid the shot. Rock looks for a takedown but King sprawls well. King circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. King ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rock moves away. King stuffs the takedown attempt from Rock. Rock gets slowly back to his feet. Rock wants to clinch. Rock wants to clinch up but King keeps it at a distance. Rock fails with an attempt to clinch.
King slaps away a takedown attempt from Rock, before circling back to the center of the mat. Casey Rock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rock is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Rock tries to close the distance and clinch but King swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rock will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Rock closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rock lands in his opponent's guard. Rock has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rock stopping the sweep attempt from King. King preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. King looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. King is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. King avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Rock doesn't succeed with the takedown and King counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by King.

King distracts Rock with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. King really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rock looking to hit a scissor sweep but King is one step ahead there. Rock looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
King must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rock wants to stand and escape but King is having none of it. King lands a couple of elbows. King postures up and lands a big shot to Rock's brow. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rock with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. King seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Rock has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Check out the look on King's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

And that's the end of the fight! Voodoo King comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well King has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
