Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Evander Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kane napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Emelianenko stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Emelianenko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kane pinned against the cage. Kane gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kane gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Kane tries to pull guard but Emelianenko won't allow it.

Kane is pushing Emelianenko up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Emelianenko throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Kane postures up in Emelianenko's guard and throws a big left but Emelianenko blocks it.

Kane gets to his feet. Emelianenko looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Emelianenko breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kane shoots in and drives through. Emelianenko sprawls well.
Emelianenko doesn't manage to clinch there - Kane circles away.
Kane moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Andrei Emelianenko has been cut.
Kane shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Emelianenko as he jumps to the side.
Emelianenko looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Emelianenko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kane drops Emelianenko with a left and a right! Oh, Emelianenko is hurt - Kane dives into side control looking to finish!

Kane has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Emelianenko is still on wobbly legs! Can Kane finish him?
Kane throws a series of punches but Emelianenko moves out of range.
Emelianenko seems to have recovered his senses.
Emelianenko shoots in looking for a takedown. Kane tries to sprawl out of it but Emelianenko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kane manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kane wants to clinch

and Emelianenko counters with a shoot takedown. Kane fights it but they end up in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kane looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Kane on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kane tries to get out of the position.
Kane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Emelianenko on the ground.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kane holds on and takes a little breather.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kane scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kane looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kane lands a hook that stumbles Emelianenko back into the cage. Kane follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Emelianenko to the canvas! Kane pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Emelianenko has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
