Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Evan D (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and tough Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). tough Guy will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, tough Guy! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Danga de danga de dang - Guy scores with a four punch combination! D swats away the attempt to clinch by Guy. D dodges the punch combination from Guy.
Guy lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Guy. Guy misses with a two punch combination.

Guy moves into range and connects with a jab. Guy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Guy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but D moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Guy clinches. Guy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Guy lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Guy scores with a shoulder strike. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Guy lands a body shot in the clinch.

Guy lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of D backwards. D is working for takedown but Guy is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Evan D. That's going to take a lot out of him. D changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Guy fights it off and pushes away nicely.

D fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. tough Guy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Guy throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck D on the side of the head. D drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. D tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no D has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! D trying to control the action but Guy is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Guy is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on D's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. D wants to take a breather but Guy is having none of it. D stops Guy from getting back to his feet.
Guy looks gassed! D seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Guy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

D is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Guy's half guard. D is thwarting Guy's attempts to control the position. No luck this time D. D wants to control but Guy is keeping him busy. D looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. D is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. D slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. D trying to control but Guy is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Guy wants to sweep here but D controlling him for the moment. D sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Guy's guard. D trying to control the action but Guy is working from the bottom. D takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. D uses his free foot to push down on Guy's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Guy. D misses with a head shot. D trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Evan D just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Guy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Guy is breathing heavily. D misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. D showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Guy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. D gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Guy. Guy misses with a two punch combination.

Guy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. D shoots in but no luck this time. D shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Guy manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Guy isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. D stacks Guy on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by D! D is trying to get an arm triangle but Guy is defending well. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Guy can do anything to dispel that myth.

Guy holds on to D's head and controls the position momentarily. Guy tries to buck D off but D is having none of it. D moves into full mount! D controlling from the full mount. D is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Guy is forced to tap! Great finish!
