Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Benisato Rage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Craig Penn!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rage tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Penn paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Rage throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Penn was covering up waiting for the punch and Rage finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Penn keeping moving, preventing Rage from controlling successfully.
Rage being controlled here momentarily.
Rage is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Rage's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Rage wants to control from the top but Penn keeps moving.
Rage passes Penn's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Rage looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Penn is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rage's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rage's back!

Penn trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

Penn looking to break Rage's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Rage remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Penn will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Penn is controlling the position but Rage somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.

Penn is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rage defends it well.

Rage drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Penn manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rage has Penn in his guard.
Rage manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Penn manages to get himself to full guard.

Rage swings for the body but Penn moves out of range.

Penn fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rage sprawls well initially but Penn persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Rage wants to control but Penn is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Penn seems to be working for a kimura but Rage defends the submission attempt.
Penn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rage keeps working.

Rage manages to get to full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Rage gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Penn counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Penn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rage swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Penn is pushing down on Rage's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rage is fighting to maintain full guard but Penn has managed to sneak the leg through.

Penn is looking for a kimura but Rage is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Penn to get the leverage.

Rage controls Penn momentarily but Penn frees himself.

Rage manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Rage looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Penn!
Penn wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Penn prevents Rage from getting a body triangle.
Rage keeps control of the position as Penn tries to break free.

Rage lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Penn hold on?!

Rage is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Penn is defending well though. Rage let's go of the attempt for now.

Rage working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

Rage cracks Penn with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Penn from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Benisato Rage overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Penn tries to break free.
Rage wants to control but Penn is keeping busy.
Rage is trying to stick to Penn's back but Penn is turning into Rage. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Rage's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Penn.

A close second round but Craig Penn will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Rage tries to kick Penn off but Penn keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Penn looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rage is looking for a sweep. Penn is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Penn content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Rage is looking to control Penn's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rage avoid being mounted?

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Rage tries to clinch but Penn moves away

and Penn counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Rage is trying to get back to full guard.
Rage is staying active underneath Penn, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rage moves into full guard.
Penn trying to control but Rage is working from the bottom.

Penn postures up.
Penn trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Penn must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Rage is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Rage stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Penn swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Penn keeping moving, preventing Rage from controlling successfully.

Penn is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Rage trying to control the position from guard on top but Penn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Craig Penn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
