Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Conway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benson Harlow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harlow has chosen When You Were Young as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harlow moves into the clinch successfully.
Harlow breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Conway shoots in looking for a takedown. Harlow tries to sprawl out of it but Conway keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Harlow manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Conway fails to land the takedown.
Conway throws and low kick but Harlow moves out of range easily.
Harlow shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Harlow missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Harlow thows a huge punch but Conway dodges it nicely.

BOOM! Harlow connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Harlow sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Conway is wriggling around trying to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Conway tries to lock up and control but Harlow gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Harlow pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Harlow fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Conway regains half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Harlow lands a nice short elbow.

Harlow landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Harlow steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Conway.
Conway shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Harlow as he jumps to the side.

Harlow feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Conway working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Harlow doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Harlow manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Harlow keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Conway's head.
Conway is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Harlow working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Harlow bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Conway throws Harlow to one side and escapes!
Harlow moves into range and clinches up with Conway.
Harlow pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Harlow throws a shot to the body.
Harlow shoots in but Conway avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Conway tries to close the distance and clinch up but Harlow swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Conway scores with a one two! Harlow had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Conway is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Conway moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Conway shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Harlow but Harlow pushes him off and we're back to square one.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Harlow can do anything to dispel that myth.
