Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Mann! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Mann looks like he's thinking about clinching though. De Souza throws a shot from downtown. Mann moves away and avoids it. Mann tries to clinch up. De Souza circles away from the clinch attempt.
De Souza moves away from the strike by Mann. Mann ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Mann swings away with a leg kick that misses. Mann fails with an attempt to clinch.

De Souza keeps the fight on the outside. Mann fails in his attempt to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. De Souza shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mann napping and manages to drive through into side control! You can see the frustration on Mann's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. De Souza landing strikes.

The strikes coming from De Souza are missing the target in this wave of attacks. De Souza is putting a hurting on Mann here, landing some big shots from side control. De Souza wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mann keeps working. Mann managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by De Souza.
De Souza swings around for an armbar but Mann sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into De Souza's guard. Mann landing with the ground and pound. De Souza is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Mann must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mann is posturing up here but De Souza has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Mann tries to roll out but it's too tight and Mann has to tap! Slick submission there by De Souza!
