Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thiago Ribeiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Green!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro blocks a head kick by Green.
Green takes a kick to the side of the head.
Green throws the kick towards the body but Ribeiro avoids it.
Ribeiro is looking to clinch.
Ribeiro wants to clinch up but Green keeps it at a distance.

Ribeiro closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Green misses with a punch to the body.

Ribeiro's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Ribeiro has closed the distance and engaged Green in a clinch.

Ribeiro drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Green goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ribeiro takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Ribeiro escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Ivan Green seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ribeiro slaps away a takedown attempt from Green, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Horrible takedown by Green or perhaps it was just good defense by Ribeiro which made him look bad.
Ribeiro throws a series of strikes that have Green backpedaling.
Ribeiro pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Green shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ribeiro as he avoids it easily.

and Ribeiro counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.


It looks like Ivan Green has been cut.

Green closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ribeiro did well to prevent Green getting side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Green jumps guard and drags Ribeiro to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Ribeiro has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Green is proving hard to escape from.

Ribeiro wants to control from the top but Green keeps moving.

Green is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Ribeiro passes Green's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Ribeiro knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Green on the ground.
Green tries to roll over but Ribeiro keeps him under control.

Ivan Green showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Ribeiro jumps guard and drags Green to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Green wants to control from the top but Ribeiro keeps moving.

Ribeiro has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ribeiro is squirming around, avoiding Green's attempts to control the action.

Green looking for a guillotine from mount but Ribeiro is having none of it.
Ribeiro wants to try and get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Green content just to control the position here.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Thiago Ribeiro.
I think Ribeiro has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
