Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Cowell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Agnem Klotzk! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cowell closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cowell lands in his opponent's guard. Klotzk working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cowell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cowell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Cowell drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cowell jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Cowell pushes down on Klotzk's leg and manages to get into half guard. Klotzk actively working from the bottom here. Cowell is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Cowell is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Klotzk actively working from the bottom here. Cowell wants to free his trapped foot but Klotzk is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cowell is working for a submission of some sort.
Klotzk is looking to get back to full guard here but Cowell has managed to pass to side control instead. Cowell moves to the back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cowell patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Cowell is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Klotzk defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Klotzk tries to roll but Cowell sticks to his back.
Klotzk is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Klotzk rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Cowell is looking for a kimura but Klotzk is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cowell to get the leverage. Cowell is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cowell is working for a kimura but Klotzk is defending it quite comfortably.
Klotzk looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Cowell has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Cowell prevents Klotzk from getting the reversal. Klotzk tries to improve his position but Cowell has taken his back! Cowell has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Klotzk tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Cowell pushes Klotzk away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
