Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dave Norton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wanderlei Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dave Norton has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dave Norton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wanderlei Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norton shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Johnson as he jumps to the side.
Johnson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Norton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Johnson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Norton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Norton trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet.
Johnson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Johnson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Norton is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Johnson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Norton's back instead.
Norton trying to control the position but Johnson manages to sink in the hooks.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Norton can't escape the position.
Johnson is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Norton won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Johnson off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Wanderlei Johnson!
