Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Santana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Bond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Santana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santana defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bond.
Santana shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bond's guard.
Santana working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bond seems keen to control Santana's posture.
Santana slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Santana wants to control but Bond is keeping him busy.
Bond tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Santana wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Santana lands a head kick. Bond smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Bond fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Santana closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Santana lands in his opponent's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lucas Santana will probably get the nod.

Santana is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Bond is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Santana is just riding it out for now. Bond eventually gives up the hold.
