Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bajrang Jakhotia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Fowler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bajrang Jakhotia has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bajrang Jakhotia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Fowler!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fowler shoots in but no luck this time.
Fowler looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Fowler blocks a head kick by Jakhotia.

Jakhotia shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fowler's guard.
Jakhotia is looking to work some ground and pound but Fowler has wrist control.

Jakhotia gets to his feet. Fowler looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Jakhotia shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Fowler working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jakhotia.

Fowler working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jakhotia doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jakhotia manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Fowler escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jakhotia gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jakhotia is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jakhotia drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jakhotia jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jakhotia stays in close to Fowler's body and controls the position.

Jakhotia stands and steps away. Fowler gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Jakhotia gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Fowler is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jakhotia is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Fowler to the mat. Fowler regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Fowler can't keep his opponent in guard - Jakhotia advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Jakhotia is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Jakhotia throwing strikes here but Fowler is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Jakhotia throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Fowler tries to reverse the position but Jakhotia maintains control.
Jakhotia unloads with some shots from mount but Fowler bucks and avoids them well.

Jakhotia's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Jakhotia gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Jakhotia feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Jakhotia slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Fowler is trying to control the position but Jakhotia postures up.

Jakhotia avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Jakhotia stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Fowler stuffs the takedown attempt from Jakhotia. Jakhotia gets slowly back to his feet.
Jakhotia moves in looking to clinch but Fowler pushes him off.
Fowler wants to clinch.
Jakhotia shoots in for a takedown but Fowler shows good takedown defense.
Jakhotia moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bajrang Jakhotia dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Jakhotia takes the fight into the clinch.


It looks like Jacob Fowler has been cut.

Jakhotia successfully pulls guard.
Jakhotia seems keen to control Fowler's posture.

Jakhotia is looking for a triangle but Fowler pushes his legs off easily.
Jakhotia wants to sweep but no luck.
Jakhotia controlling the position.
Fowler is breathing heavily.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Fowler's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Fowler trying to control but Jakhotia is working from the bottom.
Fowler wants to get up but he can't break Jakhotia's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Jakhotia is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Fowler must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Fowler in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jakhotia holds on and takes a little breather.
Jakhotia is trying to control the position from the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Fowler drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jakhotia dives on top into guard.
Fowler wants to get back to his feet but Jakhotia is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Jakhotia is looking to work some ground and pound but Fowler has wrist control.
Jakhotia seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Jakhotia stands up from Fowler's guard - Jakhotia perhaps looking for a knockout.
A left lands for Jakhotia.

Jakhotia closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fowler is staying active underneath Jakhotia, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Jakhotia throwing shots but Fowler is blocking nicely.
Fowler wants to improve his position but Jakhotia is controlling well.

Jakhotia gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Nice takedown defense from Jakhotia. No joy for Fowler on that attempt.

Bajrang Jakhotia overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jakhotia looking for a sweep. Not yet Jakhotia, not yet.
Jakhotia will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Jakhotia is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jakhotia is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Fowler rolls with it to try and escape but Jakhotia cranks on the arm and Fowler is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
