Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Uotila fails with the takedown. Makipahkina throws a sloppy head kick and Uotila moves out of range easily. Uotila tries to close the distance and clinch but Makipahkina swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Uotila scores with a takedown into Makipahkina's guard. Makipahkina really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Makipahkina keeping moving, preventing Uotila from controlling successfully. Uotila prevents Makipahkina from getting back to his feet. Makipahkina trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Uotila is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Makipahkina is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Uotila tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Makipahkina just stands there and leans against the cage. Makipahkina lands a damaging elbow. Makipahkina breaks the clinch.
Makipahkina lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's one minute gone in the round. Makipahkina throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Uotila. Makipahkina tries to clinch but Uotila moves away and Uotila counters by moving into the clinch. Makipahkina scores with a knee to the head.
Uotila takes a knee right on the jaw!
Makipahkina wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Uotila is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Makipahkina pulls him back up using the underhooks. John Makipahkina has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorma Uotila. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Uotila takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Makipahkina is trying to break free. Makipahkina connects with a knee to the head.
Uotila looks gassed! Makipahkina escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Makipahkina is looking to clinch. Makipahkina will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Whack! Makipahkina lands a heavy head kick that drops Uotila. The ref tackles Makipahkina to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Uotila was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). John Makipahkina!
