The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nicks throws a hook but Giordano avoids it easily.
Nicks misses with a wild body shot.
Nicks throws the left hand but Giordano avoids the punch easily.
Nicks throws a jab when Giordano was well out of range.
Giordano throws an overhand right that lands on Nicks's shoulder, as Nicks tries to avoid the shot.
Nicks ducks under a wild hook from Giordano.
Nicks misses with a hook. Giordano ducked under it nicely.
Nicks tries to bum rush Giordano with a series of wild strikes but Giordano uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nicks bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Nicks misses with a double jab.
Nicks tries a head kick but it misses.
Giordano blocks a leg kick.
Nicks throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Giordano.
Giordano blocks a head kick by Nicks.
Nicks throws a sloppy head kick and Giordano moves out of range easily.

Nicks loads up on a big right hand but Giordano slips the punch.
Nicks fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Giordano manages to avoid it.
Nicks lands a nice shot to the body.
Giordano slips a jab and a cross from Nicks.
Giordano fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Giordano shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nicks as he avoids it easily.
Mario Nicks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Giordano blocks a head kick by Nicks.
Nicks scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
