Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan Kerr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andres Papito!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Papito uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kerr.

Kerr clinches up with Papito and pushes him back against the cage.

Papito drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kerr controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Kerr gets to his feet - Papito follows without any prompting.
Kerr fails with the takedown.
Papito plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Papito stuffs the takedown.

Papito decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kerr is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Papito is pressing down on Kerr's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kerr is holding on for now.
Kerr is looking to improve his position.
Kerr has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Papito is working away from the top position though.
Kerr scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Papito manages to mount him!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kerr is trying to escape the mount.
Papito looks gassed!
Kerr manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Kerr is not content to let Papito control the position.

Kerr has one foot on Papito's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Kerr misses with a takedown attempt

and Papito counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Juan Kerr. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kerr lands a couple of sideways elbows.

Kerr tries to get to full guard but Papito has control of the leg.

Papito is looking for a kimura but Kerr is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Papito to get the leverage.
Papito seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kerr does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Kerr moves into full guard.
Papito works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Kerr tries to roll over but Papito keeps him under control.
Kerr wants to control but Papito is keeping busy.
Papito passes into side control, despite Kerr's attempt to control the position.
Papito should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kerr is letting Papito control him for a moment.
Kerr struggling a bit here.
Kerr is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Kerr tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Papito wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Papito is looking to take a break and control but Kerr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Kerr clinches up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andres Papito dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Kerr looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Papito is staying active underneath Kerr, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Kerr is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Papito defends it well.
Kerr performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Ground and pound from Kerr.
Papito is breathing heavily.
Kerr lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Kerr frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kerr takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Kerr pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Kerr controlling the pace for now.
Kerr scoring with strikes but Papito is staying in there.


Papito is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Papito is bucking up trying to escape but Kerr cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Papito is still in real trouble! Can Kerr finish him?
Kerr connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

It looks like Andres Papito has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kerr lands with some strikes.


That has opened up Andres Papito's cut even more.
The referee warns Papito that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.


The cut above Andres Papito's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Andres Papito's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Juan Kerr!
