Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Bellman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Builder! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bellman misses the shot to the body. Builder fails with a takedown attempt. Builder walks into a straight right hand from Bellman. Bellman throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bellman scores with a jab to the body. Builder rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bellman moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bellman scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Bellman connects with the punch.
It looks like Bob Builder has been cut. Bellman connects with a body shot. Bellman jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Builder misses with a series of wild punches.
Bellman jabs Builder right on the nose. Builder blinks but takes it well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bellman scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Bellman looks to throw the jab but Builder is out of range. James Bellman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bellman dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Builder fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Builder misses with a double jab.
Bellman thuds his right hand into Builder's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Builder dodges the punch combination from Bellman.
Bellman misses with a wild body shot. Bellman takes a swing at Builder's ribcage but misses. Bellman misses with a series of wild punches.
Bellman lunges at Builder with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Builder's hand. Bellman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Builder moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Builder lands a right hook to the body.
The fighters circling - Bellman throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Builder takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Builder throws a series of punches but Bellman avoids them all with ease. A jab from Bellman finds it's way through Builder's defenses. Bellman fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Builder looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Bellman dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Bellman digs a good body shot into Builder's ribs. Bellman throws a sloppy body shot
and Builder decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bellman's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Builder stopping the sweep attempt from Bellman. Builder drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bellman looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bellman looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bellman!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bellman wants to stand but Builder has his arm trapped. Bellman wants to stand but Builder has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard. Builder working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bellman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Builder is tightening it up a little... Bellman has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Bellman reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Bellman taps out! nice BJJ there by Builder!
