Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Halme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Bullet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Tony Halme has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tommy Bullet!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bullet looks for a takedown but Halme sprawls well.
Bullet shoots in for a takedown but Halme shows good takedown defense.
Halme stuffs the takedown.
Tony Halme has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Bullet.
Halme defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bullet.

Halme closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Halme's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

and Halme counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Bullet is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Halme takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Halme connects with a nice short shot to Bullet's temple.
Well, if Halme is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Tony Halme just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Halme rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bullet moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Bullet doesn't succeed with the takedown

so Halme counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Halme would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Halme bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Halme seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bullet for as long as he can get away with.
