The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bays fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bays throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bienvenueve's waist but Bienvenueve gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bays off to one side.

Bienvenueve has managed to clinch.
Bays drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bienvenueve pulls his leg out and moves away.
Pierre Bienvenueve has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Bays.
Bays looks for a takedown but Bienvenueve sprawls well.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bienvenueve connects with a nice short shot to Bays's temple.
