Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between charles king (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bas Rutten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutten moves away from the strike by king.
king blocks a head kick by Rutten.
Rutten throws a sloppy head kick and king moves out of range easily.
Rutten throws a nice outside leg kick.
king thows a body shot but no joy.
Rutten lands a jab-cross combination.

Rutten has managed to clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Rutten prevents a body shot from king.
Rutten wants to get back to striking at distance but king won't allow it.
Rutten taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Rutten dips to his left and cracks king with an uppercut!

Rutten throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck king on the side of the head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

king walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Rutten checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Rutten finds king's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! king flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Rutten lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure king will be OK.
