Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Todd Snap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jonh Jonhson!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonhson fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jonhson dives in and grabs Snap's left leg, looking for a takedown. Snap pushes down on Jonhson's head and hops out.
Jonhson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jonhson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Snap avoids it really well and circles away.
Todd Snap has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonh Jonhson.
Jonhson shoots in for a double leg but Snap sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Snap goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Snap gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jonhson to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Jonhson has gone for a leg lock! Snap slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jonhson's guard.

Snap passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Jonhson wants to get back to his feet but Snap drags him back down.
Snap works to advance to full mount. Jonhson defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Snap is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jonhson is surviving well by controlling Snap's body position as best he can.
Snap takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Jonhson's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Snap looking to secure an arm triangle but Jonhson defends it well.
Snap connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Jonhson is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Snap has taken his back!

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Snap cracks Jonhson with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Jonhson from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Snap is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Todd Snap just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Snap stuffs the takedown attempt from Jonhson. Jonhson gets slowly back to his feet.

Snap fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jonhson sprawls well initially but Snap persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Jonhson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Snap's guard.
Snap wants to get back to his feet but Jonhson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Jonhson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Snap swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jonhson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Jonhson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Snap dives on top into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Snap is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Jonhson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Snap's guard.

Snap is trying to control the position but Jonhson postures up.
Jonhson stands and throws Snap's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Snap manages to work his way to half guard, despite Jonhson's best efforts.

Jonhson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Snap has managed to free his arm - good work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jonhson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jonhson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Jonhson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Snap gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Snap decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Jonhson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Snap.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Todd Snap will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
