Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Carlson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Wilshere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Carlson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rage Against The Machine: Bulls On Parade . Jack Wilshere is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamie Carlson ! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Wilshere! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wilshere.
Carlson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Carlson closes the distance and clinches up with Wilshere, looking for a takedown. Carlson pushes Wilshere against the cage but Wilshere circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Carlson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wilshere. Wilshere looks to land a right hand but Carlson moved out of range. Wilshere throws a jab when Carlson was well out of range. Carlson misses with a straight left. Wilshere fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Carlson throws an overhand right that lands on Wilshere's shoulder, as Wilshere tries to avoid the shot. Wilshere fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carlson manages to avoid it. Wilshere throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Carlson on the wrong end of a nice hook. Carlson throws a lazy right hand but Wilshere sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Carlson misses with a hook. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carlson throws a right and a left that Wilshere avoids nicely. Carlson misses with a looping right. Carlson thows a body shot but no joy. Carlson thows a left - swing and a miss! Wilshere misses with an uppercut. Carlson saw that one coming. The fight moves into the clinch position. A head punch blocked on the inside by Carlson .
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilshere has hold of one of Carlson 's legs. Carlson is fighting the takedown attempt but Wilshere gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Wilshere throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Carlson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Wilshere lands a couple of decent looking shots. Wilshere tries to free his leg and advance position but Carlson is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wilshere sitting in guard, not really doing much. Wilshere throwing strikes from guard but Carlson blocks nicely. Wilshere passes easily into side control. Nice work. Wilshere wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Carlson , who protects the arm well. Wilshere has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Wilshere throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Wilshere is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Carlson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Carlson tries to bench press Wilshere off him but Wilshere keeps the position. Carlson controls the position for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The strikes coming from Wilshere are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Wilshere tries to advance to mount but Carlson denies him.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Wilshere stuffs the takedown. Carlson scores with a sloppy right hand. Wilshere should have avoided that one. Carlson fails to land with a series of punches.
Wilshere takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Carlson is desperately trying to improve his position but Wilshere has a good base and remains in mount. Wilshere avoids the attempt from Carlson to control. Wilshere lands with some strikes. Carlson tries to reverse the position but Wilshere maintains control. Carlson tries to lock up and control but Wilshere gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Wilshere lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Carlson hang on? Carlson blocking the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wilshere misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Wilshere connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Carlson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Carlson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Wilshere some visible discomfort.
You can see the frustration on Wilshere's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Wilshere tries to get back to half guard but can't. Carlson decides to stand back up. Carlson steps back and let's Wilshere get back to his feet. Carlson tries to bum rush Wilshere with a series of wild strikes but Wilshere uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jamie Carlson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carlson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Wilshere counters with a single leg into guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wilshere accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Wilshere pushes down on Carlson 's leg and manages to get into half guard. Wilshere not landing any meaningful shots this time. Carlson is trying to get back to full guard. Carlson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Wilshere scores with a couple of nice shots. Wilshere is pressing down on Carlson 's thigh, looking to free his foot. That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Carlson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wilshere manages to get himself to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Jamie Carlson showed his dominance in that final round. Well Wilshere has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
