Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Don Dirst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Jooginz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jooginz is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Break some shit. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Don Dirst!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Jooginz!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jooginz throws a shot to the body.
Jooginz defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dirst.
Jooginz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dirst swivels and escapes.
Jooginz misses with a body shot.
Jooginz throws a good cross that connects.
Jooginz lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Dirst lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jooginz circles away quickly and effectively.
Jooginz works Dirst's body with a nice hook.
Don Dirst seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dirst misses the body punch
and Jooginz counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

A punch lands to the side of Dirst 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Oh Dirst is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Jooginz misses with a straight right.
Jooginz takes a swing at Dirst's ribcage but misses.
Dirst seems to have got his legs back now.
Dirst looks to score with a jab to the body but Jooginz is just out of range.

Jooginz scores with a jab to the head.
Jooginz has a takedown stuffed.

Jooginz lands a left and a right that send Dirst crashing to the mat, dazed. Jooginz thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Dirst throws a hook but Jooginz avoids it easily.
Jooginz swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jooginz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dirst defends it nicely.
Don Dirst has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Jooginz.
Jooginz uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dirst.

Jooginz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dirst pinned against the cage. Dirst gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Dirst swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Jooginz counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Jooginz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jooginz missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dirst avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Jooginz thows a big elbow that misses.
Jooginz working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Dirst's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dirst takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Jooginz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dirst manages to avoid it.
Jooginz thows a left - swing and a miss!
Jooginz closes the distance and clinches up with Dirst, looking for a takedown. Jooginz pushes Dirst against the cage but Dirst circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Dirst lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Jooginz takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Dirst uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jooginz.

Jooginz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dirst sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Dirst throws a shot from downtown. Jooginz moves away and avoids it.
Jooginz ducks under a wild hook from Dirst.

and Jooginz counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Jooginz is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Jooginz thows a huge punch but Dirst dodges it nicely.
Jooginz is controlling the pace.
Jooginz is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Dirst is concentrating on defense, preventing Jooginz from advancing position.
Jooginz wants to control but Dirst is keeping him busy.

Andrew Jooginz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Dirst uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jooginz.
Dirst throws a shot from downtown. Jooginz moves away and avoids it.
Jooginz misses with the combination.

Dirst displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Jooginz lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Dirst at a distance.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Dirst swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jooginz makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jooginz, as that shot connected.

Jooginz lands a left and a right that send Dirst crashing to the mat, dazed. Jooginz thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Jooginz connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Jooginz is looking to land body kicks.
Jooginz throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jooginz lands with a cross.
Dirst rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jooginz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Dirst avoids the body shot from Jooginz.
Andrew Jooginz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Dirst gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Jooginz.
Jooginz jabs at Dirst's body.
Jooginz throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Don Dirst has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jooginz stalks Dirst and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Dirst's face. Dirst staggers backwards, shaken.

Dirst ducks right into an uppercut from Jooginz.
Jooginz throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jooginz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dirst.

and Dirst cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Dirst avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dirst looks to score with a jab to the body but Jooginz is just out of range.
Jooginz misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jooginz thows a body shot but no joy.
Dirst misses with a straight right.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jooginz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dirst was covering up waiting for the punch and Jooginz finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jooginz stands and steps away. Dirst gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

And that's the end of the fight!
Andrew Jooginz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jooginz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
