Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergio Nunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sergio Nunes will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nunes tries to score a power double leg takedown but Souza sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nunes somewhat.
Souza throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Souza fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nunes, pushing him back against the cage.
Nunes tries to score a body lock takedown but Souza shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Souza tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Nunes's elbow.
Nunes wants the takedown. Souza is fighting it off but Nunes persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Souza's guard against the cage.
Nunes won't allow Souza to get back to his feet.
Souza wants to sweep here but Nunes controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Nunes postures up in Souza's guard and throws a big left but Souza blocks it.
Souza is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Nunes changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Souza fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Nunes shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
so Souza counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Souza would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Nunes parries the strikes from Souza easily there. Souza is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Nunes to escape.

Souza has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Souza unloads with some shots from mount but Nunes bucks and avoids them well.

Souza pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Nunes has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Souza is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
