The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Doss moves away.
Wood throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Doss's head.
Doss swings for the body but Wood moves out of range.
Doss blocks a jab.
Wood takes a swing at Doss's ribcage but misses.
Wood throws a lazy right hand but Doss sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Doss scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Doss stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Doss misses with an uppercut. Wood saw that one coming.
Doss lands with an uppercut that bounces Wood off the ropes and back into rage.

The fighters circle momentarily. Doss darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Doss cracks Wood with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Wood tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Doss pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Wood is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 8:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nannie Doss!
