Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Michaels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Theo Gillberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michaels comes to the cage accompanied by Sexy Boy. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Gillberg looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Michaels throws a nice outside leg kick.
Shawn Michaels seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gillberg jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Michaels feints and then cracks Gillberg's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gillberg down.

Michaels moves away from the strike by Gillberg.

Michaels scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

and Gillberg counters with a nice double leg into side control. Michaels won't be happy with that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Gillberg working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Michaels tries to improve position but can't.
Michaels wants to get back to his feet but Gillberg drags him back down.

Michaels seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gillberg does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Gillberg avoids the head kick by Michaels.

and Gillberg counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Michaels is rocked!
Gillberg lands with a big left! Michaels is wobbled badly! Gillberg comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Michaels to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
