Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Warren Peace!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Reed Andrews and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Peace has closed the distance and engaged Carson in a clinch.

Carson gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Carson seems to be working for a kimura but Peace defends the submission attempt.

Carson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Peace drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Carson tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Peace avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Carson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Carson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Peace can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Carson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Peace to the mat! Peace manages to get full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Peace pushes Carson off and gets back to his feet.

Carson tries to clinch up but Peace circles away and keeps his distance.

so Carson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Carson wants to control from the top but Peace keeps moving.

Peace controls Carson momentarily but Carson frees himself.

Peace is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Carson is pressing down on Peace's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Carson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Peace is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Carson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Peace's back instead.

Peace is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Carson gets his way!

Carson is persistently looking for the submission but Peace is defending it well.

Carson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Peace's head.

Peace has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Carson is working away from the top position though.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Carson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Peace as he avoids it easily.
Peace throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
