Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cliff Sierra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Goss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sierra kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sweet Dreams-Manson. Goss has chosen Sybreed: Emma-0 as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cliff Sierra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joseph Goss! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sierra shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Goss leaves Sierra with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Sierra misses with a low kick as Goss jumps back. Sierra shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Goss sprawls well. Goss wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sierra gets slowly back to his feet. Goss drives through with a takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Goss stands and steps away. Sierra gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Sierra takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Nice takedown defense from Goss. No joy for Sierra on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cliff Sierra. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sierra is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Goss. Goss throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Sierra fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Goss avoids it really well and circles away. A combination from Goss does no damage. Goss stuffs the takedown. Goss moves into the clinch successfully.

Goss is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Goss manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sierra manages to get himself to full guard.

Goss keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sierra's head. Sierra has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Goss can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Goss thows a big elbow that misses. Goss throwing strikes from guard but Sierra blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Goss gets to his feet - Sierra follows without any prompting. Goss looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Sierra! Goss fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Goss is landing with some decent strikes but Sierra is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Goss is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sierra can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Goss landing shots from mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Goss scoring with strikes but Sierra is staying in there. Joseph Goss showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Goss works over Sierra with some ground and pound from guard. Goss postures up in Sierra's guard and throws a big left but Sierra blocks it. Sierra looking to control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Goss accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Goss drops back looking for a leg! Sierra is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sierra manages to kick Goss off! Goss jumps back into Sierra's guard. Goss with a nice head shot there. Goss decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Sierra misses with a takedown and Goss counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goss stands and steps away. Sierra gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Goss scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Goss cracks Sierra with a big elbow. Goss prevents Sierra from escaping the position. Goss is chipping away with strikes.
Goss scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Sierra to see if he's OK. Cliff Sierra has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Goss cracks Sierra with a big right hand but Sierra just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
