Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tashley fails to land the takedown.
Paine shoots in and bounces Tashley off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Tashley is looking to stand up but Paine isn't so interested in that idea.
Tashley throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Paine in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Paine seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tashley for as long as he can get away with.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Paine wants to control but Tashley is keeping him busy.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Tashley changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Paine looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Paine, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
