Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mondial Dos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Slade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mondial Dos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Slade! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slade throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Slade scores with the left hand. Dos knows he should have avoided that one. Dos ducks right into an uppercut from Slade. Slade throws a looping overhand right but Dos ducks down to avoid it. Slade misses with a hook. Dos ducked under it nicely. Dos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Slade swats him away and circles back towards the center. Dos moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Slade lands a right hook to the body.
Dos steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Slade. Dos moves out of range as Slade strikes. Slade moves into range and connects with a jab. The fighters circling - Slade throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Slade throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Slade waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Dos. Slade throws a lazy right hand but Dos sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Slade misses the jab. Slade misses the shot to the body. Donk. Slade catches Dos right on the button with a cross. Dos throws a nice looking combination but Slade bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Slade scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dos doesn't seem bothered though. Jason Slade seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dos drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dos moves out of range as Slade strikes. Slade loads up on a big right hand but Dos slips the punch. Slade slips a straight right by Dos. Slade lands with a hook. Dos tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Dos slips under a jab from Slade. Slade lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Slade with a nice cross. Slade lands with an uppercut that bounces Dos off the cage and back into rage. Jab, jab by Slade - just one landing. Dos misses with a looping left. Slade throws a looping overhand right but Dos ducks down to avoid it. Dos swings for the body but Slade moves out of range.
Dos uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Slade. Dos uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Slade. Slade throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dos on the side of the head. Dos throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Dos tries to clinch but Slade moves out of range. Dos gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Slade.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A swing and a miss from Slade. Slade throws out a loose jab but Dos uses good head movement to avoid it. Slade throws the left hand but Dos avoids the punch easily. Dos moves out of range of the strikes. Dos staying out of range there. A swing and a miss from Slade. Slade scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Slade throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dos stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Dos takes a jab right on the kisser.
Slade sizes up Dos with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Dos tries a head kick but it misses.
Slade connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Slade misses with an uppercut. Dos saw that one coming. Dos takes one to the side of the head.
Slade scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Slade throws a lazy right hand but Dos sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Slade throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slade connects with a body shot. Slade connects with a body shot. The fighters circling - Slade throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Dos scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Dos works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
It looks like Jason Slade has been cut. You can see the frustration on Slade's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Slade tries to improve position but can't. Slade is not content to let Dos control the position. Dos thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Slade is trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dos is looking to take a break and control but Slade is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Slade manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Slade wants to control but Dos is keeping busy.
Dos is controlling the pace.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dos thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Slade looks to land a left hand but Dos moved out of range nicely. Dos throws a push kick but Slade slaps the foot to one side. Dos moves forwards but Slade connects with a nice, crisp jab. Slade connects with a crisp jab. Dos keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dos gets a takedown into half guard. Dos prevents Slade from improving his position. Dos is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Dos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Slade is trying to hold Dos in close to prevent damage but Dos has managed to pass into half guard.

Dos wants to take his opponent's back but Slade doesn't allow it. Dos looking to ground and pound but Slade is blocking nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slade is looking to get to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dos content just to control the position here. Slade tries to get back to half guard but can't. Dos can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Slade is looking to escape. A nice elbow there by Dos. Slade tries to hold on but Dos postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Dos goes for an armbar but Slade turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Slade. Dos kicks Slade off and gets to his feet. Slade bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Dos fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Slade, pushing him back against the cage. Slade tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Mondial Dos dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Jason Slade's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Slade smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Slade fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Dos walks into a jab. Slade digs a good body shot into Dos's ribs. Dos looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Slade scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Slade throws a predictable looking body shot
and Dos counters with a nice uppercut. Good standup being displayed there by Slade as he connects with a hook. Dos moves out of range as Slade strikes. Slade misses with a looping right. Slade misses the jab. Slade pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Slade jabbing away but nothing is landing. Slade lands a jab. Dos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Slade moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Dos passes Slade's left leg - he's now in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Jason Slade. I think Slade has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
