Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miren Amiano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alonso Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alonso Silva looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Miren Amiano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alonso Silva! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Alonso Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice straight punches there by Amiano. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Amiano. Amiano works the jab nicely. Silva tries to clinch but Amiano is having none of it. Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Amiano's guard. Silva looks gassed! Amiano is trying to keep Silva in close.

Silva wants to control from the top but Amiano keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Amiano looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Amiano is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Silva wants to control from the top but Amiano keeps moving.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A slapping body kick lands there for Amiano. A jab from Amiano finds it's way through Silva's defenses. Amiano shoots in and drives through. Silva sprawls well. Silva doesn't succeed with the takedown and Amiano counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiano content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Amiano's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Amiano decides to stand up, so the ref orders Silva to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Silva fails with the takedown letting Amiano counter with a right hand. A left and a right from Amiano both land. Nice combination. Amiano fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the cage. Silva gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Amiano.
Amiano pulls guard. Amiano knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silva is looking to stand up but Amiano won't let him. Amiano is pulling down on Silva's head. It's preventing any offense from Silva, at least for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Miren Amiano dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Amiano works the jab nicely. Amiano gets a takedown into half guard. Amiano not doing much here.
Silva is positioning himself well to prevent Amiano advancing to mount. Silva is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva wants to improve his position but Amiano is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Silva trying to hold on to Amiano's head to control him but Amiano postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Amiano shoots in for a double leg but Silva sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Amiano scores with a head kick.
Amiano rushes Silva and presses him up against the cage. Amiano has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Silva avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiano's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Amiano fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miren Amiano. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silva throws a sloppy head kick enabling Amiano to counter with a crisp jab. Silva swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Amiano cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Amiano scores with a head kick.
Amiano changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Amiano manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Amiano will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Amiano shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Silva tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Amiano wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Silva striking off his back but it's not causing Amiano any problems. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Miren Amiano dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Silva on the wrong end of a nice hook. Amiano throws a nice head kick!
Silva gets off balance looking for a body kick and Amiano counters with a nice uppercut. Amiano closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Amiano seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva wants to sweep but Amiano has passed to side control! Amiano slows the pace down. Amiano trying to control the position but Silva is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Silva tries to buck Amiano off but Amiano is having none of it. Silva wants to get back to his feet but Amiano is dominant here and he's now got Silva's back! Amiano controlling well, preventing Silva from escaping the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva just trying to survive but Amiano is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Miren Amiano just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Amiano lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Silva at a distance.
Amiano looks for a takedown but Silva sprawls well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Silva tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Amiano decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Miren Amiano showed his dominance in that final round. Well Amiano has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
