The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
filipovic misses with the combination.
Congo works over filipovic's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like mirko filipovic has been cut.
filipovic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nice straight punches there by filipovic. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of filipovic.
filipovic throws a sloppy head kick and Congo moves out of range easily.
filipovic could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Congo.

filipovic connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

mirko filipovic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
filipovic throws a head kick but Congo moves out of range.

Congo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in filipovic's guard.
filipovic is breathing heavily.

Congo stands up from filipovic's guard - Congo perhaps looking for a knockout.
Congo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? filipovic is fending him off so far but Congo persists. Nope, filipovic circles away and we're back to standing.
A thudding body kick lands there by filipovic!

Congo throws a quick head kick that skims the top of filipovic's head.

Congo wants the takedown. filipovic is fighting it off but Congo persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in filipovic's guard against the cage.
Congo is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Congo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Congo postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Congo drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Congo as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! filipovic screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Congo! Nice submission victory there!
