Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and cj gordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). gordan has chosen metallica enter sandman as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Dean Styles and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
gordan throws a nice outside leg kick.
Silva shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Silva was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
gordan is desperately trying to improve his position but Silva has a good base and remains in mount.
gordan has given up his back here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

You can see the frustration on gordan's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Silva is riding his opponent, not letting gordan buck him off.
Silva connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for gordan to escape the position.

Silva is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. gordan knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften gordan for a finish.
Silva is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but gordan has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Silva is trying to stick to gordan's back but gordan is turning into Silva. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Silva's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by gordan.

gordan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
gordan feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Silva's calf.
No luck for Silva with that takedown attempt.
Silva wants to clinch.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but gordan paws at him with a jab and circles away.
gordan works over Silva's head and body with a nice combination.
gordan scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Silva doesn't seem bothered though.
gordan lands a head kick. Silva smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Silva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming gordan to the mat! gordan manages to get full guard.
Silva stops gordan from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but gordan is retaining full guard.
Silva is posturing up here but gordan has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Silva tries to roll out but it's too tight and Silva has to tap! Slick submission there by gordan!
