0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yama Arashi! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arashi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming DOURADO to the mat! DOURADO manages to get full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Arashi decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. DOURADO avoids a kick to the body.
DOURADO misses with a takedown attempt and Arashi counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Arashi is looking to advance position but DOURADO won't allow it. Arashi lands with a punch from half guard. DOURADO won't allow Arashi to pass to mount. Arashi throwing shots but DOURADO is blocking nicely. Arashi throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arashi is taking a breather. DOURADO says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Arashi scoring with strikes to the body and head. Arashi controlling the action here. Arashi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Let's hope that Arashi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Arashi controlling the action here. Arashi is looking for a kimura but DOURADO is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Arashi to get the leverage. Arashi not doing much here.
DOURADO wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Arashi stands up and beckons DOURADO to join him on the feet. DOURADO closes the distance looking to clinch and Arashi counters with a shoot takedown. DOURADO fights it but they end up in guard. Arashi controls from within his opponent's guard. Arashi decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on DOURADO, up you get! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yama Arashi dominated that round. That's time! DOURADO's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
DOURADO tries to clinch and Arashi counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Arashi looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Despite being in the dominant position, Yama Arashi just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. DOURADO darts in trying to clinch and Arashi counters with a single leg into guard. DOURADO didn't expect that. Arashi landing some decent shots from guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Arashi stays in close to DOURADO's body and controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. DOURADO wants to hit a switch here but Arashi passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for DOURADO there! DOURADO looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Arashi punishes DOURADO with strikes from the back mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arashi biding his time, controlling DOURADO. Arashi has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for DOURADO. DOURADO is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
DOURADO is covering up but some of the strikes from Arashi are getting through and doing damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arashi has DOURADO flattened out and is raining down punches. Yama Arashi has got the better of the ground game so far. Arashi controls the action. Arashi sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! DOURADO taps out!
