Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Isamu Takeru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elijah Jody (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jody's choice of entrance music: ABC 123 by The Jackson 5. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Isamu Takeru!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Elijah Jody!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeru closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Jody tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Takeru just stands there and leans against the cage.
Takeru fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Takeru's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Takeru keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jody moves into the clinch successfully.
Jody has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Takeru uses from the top position.
Jody is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Takeru is controlling him.
Takeru is looking to advance position but Jody has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Jody avoids the attempt from Takeru to control.
Takeru is looking to improve his position but Jody isn't that keen on the idea.
Takeru is working hard here to advance position.
Takeru reaches up to try and control the position but Jody seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Takeru rolls and tries to escape and now Jody has his back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Takeru holding both Jody 's hands and preventing any damage.
Takeru rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Jody takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Takeru trying to control but Jody postures up.
Jody is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jody is looking to advance position but Takeru won't allow it.
Jody looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Takeru trying to control but Jody postures up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Takeru uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jody.
Takeru misses with the combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jody connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Takeru shoots for a takedown but Jody saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Takeru is breathing heavily.
Takeru throws a head kick but Jody moves out of range.
No luck for Takeru with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Isamu Takeru. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Takeru looks for the body kick but Jody saw that one coming.
Jody throws a leg kick but Takeru sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Takeru misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jody tries to clinch up
and Takeru counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jody's guard now.
Jody lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Takeru!
Jody jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Takeru manages to avoid the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Elijah Jody will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Jody takes the fight into the clinch.
Takeru tries to land a knee to the head but Jody blocks with his arms.
Takeru tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jody's elbow.
Takeru breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Takeru misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jody fails with a takedown attempt.
Takeru slaps away a takedown attempt from Jody, before circling back to the center of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Takeru stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Takeru wants it to stay on the feet.
Isamu Takeru has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elijah Jody.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Takeru fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jody, pushing him back against the cage.
Jody is trying to break free.

Jody drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Takeru manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Takeru has his feet on Jody's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Takeru throws a nice outside leg kick.
Takeru throws a right and a left that Jody avoids nicely.
Jody shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jody showed some decent athleticism there.
Takeru is trying to maintain the position but Jody is very close to passing his half guard.
Takeru makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Takeru.

Jody takes a decent strike to the side of the head.
Jody looking to sit in guard and control but Takeru gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Jody not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jody is working an open guard so Takeru takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Takeru tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Jody counters with a big head kick but Takeru shrugs it off.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
A head kick from Takeru lands but Jody takes it in his stride.
Takeru swats away the attempt to clinch by Jody.
Jody takes the fight into the clinch.
Takeru stalling in the clinch but Jody improves position.
Jody breaks the clinch.
Jody shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Takeru defends it nicely.
Isamu Takeru seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jody instigates a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Takeru lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Takeru tries to break the clinch but Jody is controlling the position.
Jody escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jody fails to land the takedown.
Jody fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Takeru forces Jody back against the cage and clinches.
Takeru can't break the clinch.
Jody tries for a takedown but Takeru manages to get underhooks.
Takeru's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Jody moves into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Isamu Takeru dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Jody tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Takeru gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jody counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Jody shoots and misses
and Jody takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Jody counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Takeru!
Jody can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Takeru is looking to escape.
Takeru is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Takeru is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Jody has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Takeru's face.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jody looking to control but Takeru is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Jody misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Takeru regains half guard.
Jody tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Jody is working for a submission of some sort.
Jody trying to control the action but Takeru is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jody is looking to stall here but Takeru recovers full guard.
Takeru pushes Jody off and scrambles back to his feet.
Takeru fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jody sprawls well initially but Takeru persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Jody has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Takeru is working away from the top position though.
And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Elijah Jody.
I think Jody has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
