Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, CJ MATCH! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Danny Kane! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MATCH looks for a takedown but Kane sprawls well. Kane lands the left hand. Kane misses with a head kick.
Kane throws a right hand that MATCH ducks under and follows up with a left that MATCH also avoids with ease. Kane throws the kick towards the body but MATCH avoids it. MATCH circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kane tries to clinch up. MATCH misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Horrible takedown by MATCH or perhaps it was just good defense by Kane which made him look bad. MATCH checks the leg kick. Danny Kane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. MATCH closes the distance but Kane moves to the side and Kane cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kane lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Kane closes the distance but MATCH moves to the side and MATCH counters with a takedown into side control. Kane is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane tries to control but MATCH manages to take his back. I would not like to be Kane right now.
MATCH has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. MATCH controlling well, preventing Kane from escaping the position.
Kane covering up well under a series of strikes from MATCH. MATCH looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. MATCH tries to keep control of the position but Kane is staying busy. Kane looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. MATCH is looking for the choke from the back position but Kane is controlling his hands well. MATCH scores with strikes from the back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kane trying to control the position but MATCH manages to sink in the hooks. Kane looks gassed! MATCH lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Kane hold on?!
MATCH somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. MATCH lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Kane.
MATCH controls the position. MATCH thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. MATCH controlling well, preventing Kane from escaping the position.
A lull in the action here.
Kane is trapped and MATCH is scoring with shots to the head and body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. MATCH is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Kane is tapping out! This one is all over!
