Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thor Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adolph Becker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Vlad the Impaler. Silva has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Adolph Becker enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva lands with a slapping head kick.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Becker drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Becker decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Becker fails with a takedown attempt.
Silva throws a head kick that half lands.
Becker feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Becker stays in close to Silva's body and controls the position.
Becker wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position.
Becker thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Becker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Becker takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Silva throws a head kick that misses.

Becker doesn't manage to clinch there - Silva circles away.
Becker shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Becker was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Silva stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Silva wants it to stay on the feet.
Becker shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed Becker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Silva thuds his shin into the meat of Becker's side.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Becker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Thor Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adolph Becker.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Becker is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Silva tries to keep at a distance but Becker has taken the fight into the clinch.

Becker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Becker takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Becker fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Silva.
Becker fails with a takedown attempt.
Silva throws a nice outside leg kick.
Becker thows a leg kick but Silva checks it
and Silva counters with a nice kick to the body.

Becker looks for a takedown but Silva sprawls well.

Adolph Becker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Silva tries to break the clinch but Becker is controlling the position.
Becker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Becker sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Silva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Becker takes the fight into the clinch.
Becker keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Silva's efforts to push away.
Becker has Silva pressed against the cage.

Becker is working for takedown but Silva is calmly controlling the position for now.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Becker has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Silva uses from the top position.
Silva is posturing up here but Becker has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Silva tries to roll out but it's too tight and Silva has to tap! Slick submission there by Becker!
