Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joao Mota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flick Wham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mota comes to the cage accompanied by Hit em Up. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mota blocks the body kick.
Mota scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Mota working the strikes but Wham uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Wham is trying is best to control the position here.
Mota trying to pass the guard but Wham defending well.
Mota wants to stand but Wham has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Wham is trying to get back to full guard.
Mota is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Mota decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Wham is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Mota wants to free his trapped foot but Wham is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Mota is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wham doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mota.

Mota not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wham preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Mota wants to get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Wham manages to get to full guard.
Wham has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Mota stands and steps away. Wham gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Wham misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mota scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Mota is breathing heavily.
Wham controlling the position for now.

Wham has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mota is working away from the top position though.
Mota is working for a kimura but Wham is defending it quite comfortably.
Wham works his way to full guard. Good work.
Wham wants to sweep here but Mota controlling him for the moment.
Mota postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wham is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Mota, into his guard.

Wham is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mota sees it coming and defends easily.
Wham works his way into full mount!
Mota wants to hold on but Wham pushes him away.
Wham with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wham is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Mota has managed to escape the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Flick Wham dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Mota takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Mota shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Mota moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Wham has worked his arm free - good work by Wham!
You can see the frustration on Wham's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Wham gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Flick Wham has got the better of the ground game so far.
Wham slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mota tries to stand but Wham is controlling from the bottom.

Mota throws and elbow that misses. Wham uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mota's guard. Nice move by Wham!
Wham passes Mota's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Wham passes the guard and advances to mount!
Mota really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Wham throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Mota has his hands clasped together but Wham breaks the hold and Mota is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Wham!
