Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parkman throws a push kick but Valdez slaps the foot to one side. Valdez decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Parkman wants to get back to full guard. Valdez decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Parkman throws a one two combo.
Parkman gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Valdez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Parkman's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Valdez tries to stand but Parkman is controlling from the bottom. Valdez gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Parkman doesn't succeed with the takedown and Valdez counters by clinching up.

Parkman has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Valdez uses from the top position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Parkman can do anything to dispel that myth. Parkman is looking to stand up but Valdez isn't so interested in that idea. Parkman looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Valdez puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Parkman regains full guard. Nicely done. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Valdez would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Parkman is looking to stand up but Valdez isn't so interested in that idea. Valdez wants to stand but Parkman is controlling his posture from full guard. Valdez is breathing heavily.

Valdez tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Parkman is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Valdez's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Parkman is trying to control but Valdez manages to pass to mount!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Parkman regains half guard. Parkman is looking to control Valdez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Parkman avoid being mounted? Parkman is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Valdez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Valdez's back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Valdez is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Parkman controlling from the back. Let's hope that Parkman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Valdez covering up well under a series of strikes from Parkman. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Parkman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Parkman shoots and misses and Valdez counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Parkman! Valdez is looking to stand but Valdez has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

Parkman is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Valdez tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Parkman keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Parkman tries to lock up and control but Valdez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Parkman really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Parkman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Valdez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Parkman flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

Despite being in the dominant position, Dwayne Parkman just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Parkman misses with a takedown and Valdez counters by clinching up. Parkman is trying to drag Valdez to the mat but Valdez just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Frank Valdez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dwayne Parkman. Valdez jumps guard but Parkman stands there with Valdez around his waist. Valdez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Valdez has Parkman pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Parkman manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Parkman tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Valdez just stands there and leans against the cage. Parkman has Valdez pressed against the cage.
Parkman is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Valdez pulls him back up using the underhooks. Parkman lands a knee to the body.

Parkman is looking for a triangle but Valdez pushes his legs off easily.
Frank Valdez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Parkman scrambles and gets back to his feet.

A close second round but Dwayne Parkman will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Valdez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Parkman moves out of range and avoids them all easily. The fight stays on the outside here - Parkman looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Left hook, right uppercut from Parkman. Parkman dives in and grabs Valdez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Valdez pushes down on Parkman's head and hops out. Parkman clinches up with Valdez and pushes him back against the cage. Parkman goes for a takedown attempt but Valdez pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Parkman tries to clinch and Valdez counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Parkman wants to control but Valdez is keeping busy and won't allow it. Valdez has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Parkman works to full guard. Parkman wants to stand and escape but Valdez is having none of it. Parkman has his hands on Valdez's head, controlling the position. Parkman controls Valdez momentarily but Valdez frees himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Valdez gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Parkman cracks Valdez with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. No luck with that takedown attempt from Parkman. Parkman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Valdez's waist but Valdez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Parkman off to one side. Parkman fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Parkman scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Parkman stands up and we're back to a striking position. Parkman closes the distance and clinches up with Valdez, looking for a takedown. Parkman pushes Valdez against the cage but Valdez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parkman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Valdez paws at him with a jab and circles away. Parkman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Parkman takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Parkman misses with a takedown attempt - Valdez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Parkman lands with a slapping head kick. Valdez tries to clinch but Parkman moves away and Parkman counters by moving into the clinch. Valdez looking for a takedown. With the fighters up against the cage, Parkman throws an elbow but misses. Parkman slows down the pace here.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Dwayne Parkman. I think Parkman has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
